As my family grows, so do the traditions! There are several traditions that we have created as a little family of four over the past couple of years. I would love to share a few with you to give ideas on traditions that you may start with your family, as well as my FAVORITE tradition of all!
This post was sponsored by Tervis, however all writing, reviews, and ideas are all my own!
5 Great Holiday Traditions

Let's get right to it! We have several traditions but I'm not saving the best for last. All of our traditions are fun but I will share my fav first! Yes....we actually call it that. haha "Tervis Time"is when we grab our seasonal Tervis cups, fix our favorite holiday drinks, dress in our most coziest holiday attire, and put on The Elf.

My Favorite Holiday Drink Recipe
First, get your favorite festive Tervis cup. (PS, You can win one in my giveaway below!)
Rub rim of Tervis with lime and dip in sugar.
Pour 1/4 cup cranberry juice into each cup and top with champagne.
Use a toothpick to poke a hole through cranberries.
Thread rosemary skewer through cranberries and garnish mimosas. (This part is just because I'm fancy haha)

Each year Ben and I choose an ornament for each other. Sometimes they are sweet but mostly the are silly. We have so much fun pulling them out each year and recalling the previous years ornaments and why we chose them. We also like to pick up an ornament on each family vacation. Makes for great reminiscing as a family when we put up our tree each year.

Jack looks forward to his themed advent calendar each year. It is a great way to teach a 3 year old his numbers and also to keep him from asking every day "Is it Christmas yet?" I just tell him it is the big day when there is only 1 left to open.

I have one for myself and one that I read to the boys. Mine is called God is in the Manger: Reflections on Advent and Christmas by Dietrich Bonhoeffer. The christian author was imprisoned in the Nazi camps durring WWII where he was eventually executed but his writings on Christianity and Advent are beautiful. It is about a 1 or 2 pager read per day. I have a christian children's book with beautiful illustrations and imagery for the boys. These are great ways to remember the REAL reason for the season!

We choose a different seasonal activity every weekend. This is a great way to get in the spirit if you are an adult. I did this before kids and it is even better now that I have littles of my own.

Thank you so so much for taking the time to share in my holiday traditions and be sure to get your TERVIS for your Holiday Traditions.
